Please Come Back
Experience what it's like when nostalgia goes too far and causes complete inertia. Daydreaming can be sweet, but if you get too entrenched in old worlds, you may start to lose your grip a bit with the real one. The brief was to make a game about a personal experience of ours, I chose the feeling of nostalgia I felt when thinking back on certain moments of my childhood, and the melancholy I felt when I would daydream about them.

One of the first games I ever made or worked on, it was a huge learning curve from having no 3D development experience
to working on this. The game itself isn't terribly complex, I spent most of my time working on environments, like building
a fairly decent PSX rendition of my actual room. My frist time ever working with 3D, which quickly got me into PSX styles
because of their simplicity and how fun it is to work with.
One of the major things I tried out was making a dialogue system, which in the game functions to convey my inner thoughts
and feelings about my experiences and environment, which were accurate at the time of making it. It was hard going and
working on many new things at once was exhausting but I finished it, and most imporantly learned how to properly self-teach.
