Dog-Go
Dog-Go! is a dog collecting simulation game for android. My role on the project was as a designer
and programmer. My work on the project consisted of controlling and creating assets (ui, models, textures,
and environment) but I also was the lead designer on the project so I created and drove the concept
throughout with feedback and help from the programmer, Blake Simpson.
We based the game on inspirations like Pokemon: Go and Neko Atsume with the elevator pitch of; "Monster Collector Game but caring for stray dogs".
From there we began to build the game, eventually adding more strays the stretched the term "dog" to increasingly silly lengths.
This project was a great opportunity to learn the ropes and basic of mobile development, specifically android.
It granted me valuable insights into the design nuances and limitations of the mobile medium, as well as made
me more aware of how mobile games are typically monetized and marketed, and how to take advantage of trends.
Overall I really enjoyed working on the project, it was a great learning opportunity, and I'm definitely looking forward
to potential opportunities to work on mobile games again in the future.
